Ah! Christmas Joie Cookies!
T’was the night before Christmas 2024, and the atmosphere didn’t feel quite festive. Joe, feeling a sense of determination to bring back the Christmas cheer, came down the stairs, rummaging through our pantry in search of the perfect ingredients. He found leftover peppermint bark chocolate and Oreos too, but nothing that would satisfy his cravings. Then, a brilliant idea struck him: cookies!
He rallied the boys and announced a mandatory screen-free time, transforming our kitchen into a cozy baking haven.

We gathered around the kitchen island, flour measuring, dry ingredients stirring, butter and eggs mixing into the batter. The oven roared to 475F, ready to bake these delightful treats. After all, these cookies were a quick bake, meant to be enjoyed in a matter of minutes. And so, the birth of our new favorite cookie began, a new cherished family tradition. What shall we call these little clusters of Joy? My youngest said. “Christmas Joie” cheered my oldest.
Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together as I introduce you to:
Christmas Joie!
